Peoria, Arizona — December 15, 2025 — Drums Are Life, LLC is proud to announce that it has been awarded an Arts and Culture grant from the City of Peoria to support Drumming for Wellness, a 12-week community drumming series designed to promote emotional well-being, physical health, community connection, and creative self-expression.

Drumming for Wellness is a weekly, fully inclusive drumming program open to participants of all ages and abilities, including older adults, youth, and neurodivergent individuals. Rooted in global drumming traditions, the program integrates rhythmic instruction, guided group drumming, intentional movement, and wellness-focused exercises such as rhythmic breathing and grounding techniques.

Each 60-minute session provides a supportive environment where participants can experience the therapeutic power of rhythm while building community and strengthening emotional resilience. With a strong emphasis on accessibility, Drums Are Life, LLC will provide sensory-supportive options such as noise-reducing headphones, sunglasses, and additional tools designed to make the experience welcoming for neurodivergent participants.

Sessions will take place at Peoria Main Library, 8463 W. Monroe St., Peoria, AZ 85345, offering a central and welcoming community space for up to 20 participants each week. The program will serve a multigenerational, mixed-ability group where children, adults, families, and elders can learn, create, and connect through rhythm.
